报告题目:Large Deviation Rate Function and Rényi Divergence in Quantum Information Theory

摘要:In quantum information theory, the large deviation rate function of error, aka error exponent, characterizes the optimal rate of exponential convergence of the error towards 0 or 1 in the asymptotic limit. I will talk about our recent results on the exact error exponents of several quantum information tasks, including quantum privacy amplification, quantum information decoupling, and problems related to quantum channels. These results are given in terms of the sandwiched Rényi divergence and its induced quantum information quantities. Our work has provided the sandwiched Rényi divergence with new types of operational interpretations. In particular, we have found the precise operational meaning for the sandwiched Rényi divergence of order from 1/2 to 1。


李科:哈尔滨工业大学数学研究院教授,博士生导师。分别于2004年和2009年在中国科学技术大学获得学士和博士学位,其后在新加坡国立大学、IBM 沃森研究中心和麻省理工学院、加州理工学院从事研究工作,2017年回国加入哈尔滨工业大学,入选国家青年人才计划。李科的研究兴趣为量子力学框架下的概率、统计和信息理论,相关工作发表在Ann. Statist., Comm. Math. Phys., IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory, Nat. Phys., Phys. Rev. Lett.等杂志上。
